Central Wisconsin Mudrunners

The Central Wisconsin Mudrunners 4x4 Club
Classes

Stock Class

STOCK – Tires up to 33.5.  Stock vehicles must have a current valid registration and license to fit truck.  Must have a complete stock body, with the exception of a tailgate.  Must have front bumper, full width of vehicle of at least O.E.M. specs.  No fiberglass replacements.  No Flatbeds.  Must have mufflers and may have dual exhaust.  A lift is o.k.  No alterations of the engine are allowed.  No big block Chevrolet, Dodge 440, or Ford 460 & 429.  No intake manifolds other than what was offered stock are allowed.  Stock engines must be able to produce 17 inches of vacuum at 1000 RPM.  Driver will be responsible to provide hookup of testing equipment.

STREET STOCK -  Tires up to 44.  Street stock vehicles must have a current valid registration and license to fit truck.  Must have a complete stock body, with the exception of flatbed, must be cab width and frame length and of load carrying capacity at the Tech Committee’s discretion.  Must have front bumper full length of vehicle of at least O.E.M. Specifications.  May have fiberglass replacement body at Tech Committee’s discretion.  Must have mufflers, may have dual exhaust.  Must produce 17 inches vacuum at 1000 RPM.  We may check vacuum before, during, or after class has run.  V10’s will be allowed in this class.  Driver will be responsible to provide hookup of testing equipment.  Two (2) modifications will be allowed of the following: 
1.  Edelbrock, Holley, and Carter carbs will count as a mod.  2.  After market aluminum in-take or any cast iron intake that is not offered stock for that vehicle.  3.  Headers.  No engine swaps, no gutting.  4.  After market fuel injection will count as 2 mods.  Any vehicle with the original core support removed will be considered gutted.

SUPER STOCK - 
4 & 6 Cyl.           Tires up to 31.5
B   4, 6, 8 & 10 Cyl. Tires up to 31.5
C  4 & 6 Cyl.             Tires over 31.5-44
D   4, 6, 8 & 10 Cyl.  Tires 31.5 to 34.5

Any Three of the Following Modifications are Allowed:  Non-stock truck carb:  Edelbrock, Holley and Carter carbs will count as a mod.  Headers, non-stock truck intake, and engine swap (if not originally offered in that truck).  After market fuel injection is allowed, but will count as 2 mods.  No gutting.  Any vehicle with the original core support removed will be considered gutted.  Front bumpers are optional.

All Super Stock Vehicles Must Have seating for two, fenders and inner fenders, a box with a floor or load carrying platform (flatbed without sides), and a transfer case.
All Super Stock Vehicles May Not Have a race body, axle relocation, tube frame, four-link suspension, after market aluminum heads, or Predator/Dominator carbs, other than what was offered in that vehicle.

E Class follows Super Stock rules.  Four modifications allowed.
E   4, 6, 8 & 10 Cyl.  Tires up to 44

PRO STOCK – Tires 0 to 44.   (Uncut D.O.T)
Any Six of the Following Modifications Allowed:  Non-stock truck carb, non-stock truck intake, headers, aluminum heads, engine relocation or engine swap, and 4-link suspension. 

All Pro Stock Vehicles Must Have a transfer case, stock type frame, D.O.T. (uncut) tires, driver in the original location and a factory type body.  Gutting is allowed and not considered a mod.  Predator and Dominator carbs are allowed.  After market aluminum heads are allowed.  4-link suspension is allowed.  Tires must fit wheel wells.
All Pro Stock Vehicles May Not Have race bodies, stretched wheel base or axle relocation.  Engines may be set back; however, the front of the harmonic balancer must be centered or above the front axle. 

PRO OPEN -  Can run nitrous, cuts and scoops, and four-link suspension.  If running nitrous, must have a 6-point roll cage, a 4-point harness, drive shaft loops, and a tranny shield. (specs for these are under modified rules) 

MODIFIED

I   Tires up to 34.5
II Tires 34.5 to 44  (see Open Class rules below)

Modified Vehicles May Have a tube frame, four-link suspension, race body, homemade bodies, axle relocation, D.O.T. cut tires, after market fuel injection, multiple carbs, nitrous oxide, aluminum heads and engine swaps.

Vehicles that 1st Qualify in Modified and Open Classes Must Have a 6-point roll cage (frame mounted, no water pipe or exhaust pipe.  A minimum of .120 wall thickness, 1 ½ O.D. is required)  A 4-point harness, driveshaft loops (minimum of 2 and one every 30 inches.  2” x ¼” flat iron or 9/16 round stock minimum), and a tranny shield. (Vehicles must be equipped with a steel bellhousing or transmission safety blanket, or transmission and bell housing may be covered by 1/8 or heavier steel or ¼ aluminum covering at least the top 180 degrees).  Chain drive vehicles must have a 360-degree cover with a minimum of 1/8” thickness mild steel or equivalent.  FIRE SUITS AND ARM RESTRAINTS ARE MANDATORY.

OPEN CLASS

 

Rules for modified class apply except scoop and tractor tires, blowers, super chargers, turbos, and after market fuel injection are all allowed.  Nitrous, Etc. Vehicles Must Have a 6-point roll cage, a 4-point harness, drive shaft loops and a tranny shield.  (Specs for these are under modified rules.)  Blowers and Super Chargers Must Have safety straps and belt and pulley guards.

*(MOD II WILL RUN UNDER OPEN CLASS RULES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 34.5 TO 44 D.O.T. CUT TIRES.)

 

2-WHEEL DRIVE -  2-wheel drive vehicles will follow open class rules.  4-wheel drives will be allowed to run with front end unlocked or rear drive shaft removed only up to pro-open trucks.  No restrictions on tires.

BOG CLASSES

2-WHEEL DRIVE BOG – Any true 2-wheel drive buggy, and 4-wheel drive trucks will be allowed to run with front end unlocked only up to pro-open trucks.   2-wheel drive vehicles will follow open class rules.  No restrictions on tires.  (THIS CLASS IS NOT OPEN TO MODIFIED OR OPEN CLASS BUGGIES.)

BOG I -    Tires up to 34.5.  Follow Super Stock rules listed above.

BOG II -   Tires up to 44.  Follow Super Stock rules listed above.  4 modifications allowed.

BOG III -   This is an open class allowing any type tire.  Modified, open class, and nitrous must follow the safety rules for their respective classes.           (THIS CLASS IS NOT OPEN TO MODIFIED OR OPEN CLASS BUGGIES.)
 

ALL BOG VEHICLES WILL BE PULLED FROM THE BOG BACKWARDS.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!  BE SURE THAT YOUR HOOKING DEVICE IS ADEQUATE
