2007 Rules

ATTENTION RACERS:  THE C.W.M.C. HAS MADE SEVERAL CHANGES TO THIS SEASONS RULE AND REGULATIONS.  LOOK FOR THE CHANGES IN BOLD PRINT.

RACING STARTS AT 11:30 A.M.  Registration closes at 11:00 a.m.  NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER AFTER TECH IS CLOSED, UNLESS PRE-REGISTERED; WHICH MEANS YOU MUST HAVE PAPERWORK COMPLETED AND FEES PAID.  (THIS IS THE DRIVER’S RESPONSIBILITY!!)  Pre-registration must be received 24 hours prior to race day.  Mail all pre-registrations to the Club President at address on last page of rules.  Pre-registration does not qualify for early registration points.  THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

   
1.
EVERYONE WILL RACE ACCORDING TO THE RULES AND REGULATIONS.   Any condition considered to be unsafe, unfair, or unsportsmanlike conduct by the race officials is grounds for disqualification.  Any complaints or disputes must be brought to the attention of the race director within 20 minutes of said class finishing.  Any disputes in racing must be made by another racer in the same class.
2.
All drivers and co-drivers must attend the drivers meeting.  The drivers and co-drivers between the ages of 16 and 18 must have a valid driver's license and a C.W.M.C. parent release form, which must be notarized prior to registration.  Contact the tech committee or a club member to get a form.
3.
No intoxicants in the race area (pit fence to spectator fence).  No driver is permitted to drink alcoholic beverages before they are done racing for the day, or they will be disqualified and lose all points and winnings for the day.
4.
Vehicles must be put in neutral while being hooked up, unhooked, and being pulled out of the race area.
5.
No vehicles shall make a run with out approval of the starter.
6.
No running of the banks in the mud bog.  keep all four tires inside the track markers or the run will be disqualified.
7.
All vehicles must be staged when called.  A vehicle with a breakdown has five (5) minutes, and a race official must be notified or the run will be scratched.
8.
A vehicle may race twice per class; a driver may only race once per class.  Drivers are awarded points, not the vehicle.
9.
The distance on all vehicles will be measured off the front hub.  In the event of a tie for the drags, the fastest single pass wins.  For a tie in the bogs, the fastest time wins.
10.
All classes are determined by the largest measured size of the tires.  Tires must be D.O.T. approved, except open class.  Cutting or altering of tires is allowed in modified and open classes only.  Tractors and scoops are allowed in open classes only.
11.
Vehicles must have the tire diameter that fits the class for the drags, smaller tires are not allowed in larger tire classes.  In the bog classes, smaller tires will be allowed to jump up classes.
12.
All vehicles must have working brakes.  All drivers and co-drivers must wear lap and shoulder belts, as well as, helmets while racing.  Drivers and co-drivers must have eye protection when racing in vehicles without windshields and doors.  All removable tops that are removed, and soft tops must have a roll bar.  A solid firewall and floor pan is required on all vehicles.  Headers must be put in a safe direction; they cannot point toward the spectators.
13.
All vehicles must have a kill or ignition switch within reach when the driver is strapped in.  a neutral safety switch is required.  No vehicles should be left unattended while running.
14.
All competing vehicles must have a securely mounted fire extinguisher within drivers reach.  Every vehicle must have its own fire extinguisher.  Sharing of fire extinguishers will not be permitted.  (fire extinguishers can be purchased at the registration trailer.)
15.
All vehicles must have a solid frame mounted clevis on the rear of the vehicle for mud bogs.  No chains are allowed.  Every vehicle must have its own clevis.  Sharing of clevises will not be permitted.   Tow hooks  on the front of the vehicles are for drags.  No chains or cables allowed.
16.
Turbos and blowers are allowed in open class only.  After market fuel injection, nitrous oxide and multiple carbs will be allowed in modified classes.
17.
Only pump fuel allowed in all classes, such as cam 2, Turbo Blue, etc.  If questionable, we the C.W.M.C., reserve the right to test fuel at any time.  Alcohol fuel will be allowed in the Mod I, Mod II, Open, Pro-Open, 2WD, and Bog III classes.  Those running alcohol will be required to wear an approved fire suit and full face protection and have an onboard fire extinguisher system.
18.
All vehicles must be 4 wheel drive.  2 wheel drive will have its own class.  2 wheel drive vehicles will follow open class rules.  4 wheel drives will be allowed to run with front end unlocked, only up to Pro-Open trucks.  No restrictions on tires.  A vehicle may not be allowed to enter if tech feels it will get stuck.
19.
It will be driver's responsibility to bring proof of any modification, such as motor switches, carb, intake, etc.  We also reserve the right to re-tech any truck at any time.
20.
Fire suits and full face protection must be worn by drivers and co-drivers in a vehicle with an open engine.
21.
All drivers must compete with the vehicle that they registered at the beginning of the day.  No vehicle substitutions will be allowed in any classes.
22.
It is highly recommended that engine compartments be made easily accessible in case of fire.

 

WE RESERVE THE RIGHTS TO ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS AND ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS DONE TO THE VEHICLES OR PROPERTY WHILE ATTENDING THESE EVENTS.

No carry-ins allowed!   Concessions are provided on the grounds.  This supports our events, so your cooperation insures future races.

No 4 wheelers or go-carts are allowed in spectator or pit areas on race days, except those used in conjunction with the race club and for racers who need to tow their race vehicles!

Please Note:   In order to complete vehicle tech in a timely manner, all competing vehicles must go through the tech line in order to register.  We can no longer tech a vehicle that does not come to the designated tech area.  Drivers are responsible for having truck teched, forms signed, and turned in.   You must remove your vehicle from the tech area before completing registration in the club trailer.  Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
